Academic citation standards and data distribution rules for mucogingival surgery and soft tissue augmentation

Citation and Copying Rules: Mucogingival Surgery and Soft Tissue Augmentation

The Mucogingival Surgery and Soft Tissue Augmentation Almanac we are creating is a monumental digital and bibliographic project that accumulates and structures knowledge from hundreds of fundamental global monographs, PubMed meta-analyses, and years of clinical experience. The project is designed as a fundamental academic benchmark for practicing implant surgeons, orthopedists, researchers, and clinical residents.

To preserve academic integrity, prevent distortion of the evidence base, and protect intellectual labor within the dental community, strict, uncompromising rules for copying, republishing, and technical integration of our materials are introduced.

1. Text Copying: Unconditional Open Linking

Any partial or complete copying of the Index’s textual analytical materials (including critical reviews of monographs, comparative analysis of protocols, author synopses, and conclusions on systematic reviews) is permitted exclusively subject to the explicit original source rule:

  • Direct indexable link: In the body of your publication, on the reprinted web resource, or in the description of media content, a direct text link, open to search engines, must be placed pointing to the specific original source page of the corresponding domain (project).
  • Ban on cloaking: The use of noindex tags, rel="nofollow" attributes, script redirects, or hiding links under JavaScript buttons is strictly prohibited. The link must be absolutely transparent and readable for both the doctor and search engine bots (Google, Yandex).
  • Preservation of context: When citing, it is unacceptable to take phrases out of context that distort the clinical or scientific meaning (for example, substituting the conditions of primary implant stability or features of bone grafting in vitro for in vivo conclusions).

2. Integration of Interactive Modules: Rules for Importing Code and Cards

Our interactive book cards, chronological scales, and analytical blocks, developed on the basis of clean manual coding, are highly autonomous and easily integrated into the WordPress engine and other platforms. If the author of a third-party dental resource wishes to use the ready-made HTML/CSS/JS code of an interactive module or copy it from the page’s source code, the modular distribution regulations come into effect:

  • Preservation of attribution and copyrights: All service information embedded in the code, links to authors/developers, and corporate identifiers (including protocol badges) must remain intact.
  • Ban on data distortion: It is prohibited to modify numerical indicators, publication dates, evidence ratings, or conclusions about implantation techniques within the copied code.
  • Backlink in the code: The integrated module must retain the original hyperlinks to the source domain, leading to the full text of the review or the corresponding volume of the Almanac.

Mucogingival Surgery and Soft Tissue Augmentation

Mucogingival Surgery and Soft Tissue Augmentation is a fundamental academic and clinical almanac that systematizes the experience of world leaders in evidence-based periodontology and reconstructive surgery (Zucchelli, Pini Prato, Cortellini, Zuhr & Hürzeler, Sculean, Zadeh, Chambrone, Thoma, etc.). The publication combines verified PubMed databases with direct links and PMIDs, step-by-step microsurgical protocols (CAF, MCAT, LMCAT, VISTA, Socket Shield), rules of flap biomechanics, and the results of 20–30-year RCTs, serving as an indispensable practical navigator for lecturers, experienced surgeons, and residents.

Mandatory original source banner when integrating modules

When using any interactive module or book card (both in the body of the article and in the sidebars), the author is obliged to place the original source banner leading to the corresponding section of the Global Index of Books on Implantology.

Technical requirements for banner placement:

  • Direct transition: The banner must link to the corresponding section or volume of the index (for example, https://osstem.pro/mucogingival-surgery-and-soft-tissue-augmentation/).
  • Visual integration: The text accompanying the banner must clearly inform the reader that this interactive module is part of a single global ecosystem and is updated in real time on the original source.
  • Ban on isolation: The copied code of a card or analytical scale cannot exist on a third-party page in isolation, without indicating that it is an element of the fundamental standard for collecting and systematizing literature on implantology.

3. Why are these rules being implemented?

The dental digital environment is oversaturated with superficial commercial content, compilations without an evidence base, and distorted translations of abstracts. By creating the Global Index of Books on Implantology «for centuries,» we are putting an end to the chaotic and unsystematic copying of information.

  • For resource authors: This is a legal way to enrich your website or blog with precision interactive content of an expert level, increasing audience trust and improving page behavioral factors.
  • For the professional community: This is a guarantee that a practicing implant surgeon or orthopedist, studying a card on any third-party resource, will always be able to go to the base domain and see the full array of related research, original layouts, updated surgical protocols, and original sources.

Copyright Policy: We are open to the dissemination of knowledge and encourage the desire of colleagues to integrate our modules into their blogs, educational portals, and clinic websites. However, technical monitoring of the network for unauthorized borrowing of code without installing a back banner or with closed links is conducted automatically.

Let’s respect the culture of academic citation and together build a reliable, evidence-based foundation for modern implantology.
